About the Club . . .

We'd like to welcome you into our website and introduce you to the Eccles Caravan Owners Club. Eccles is one of the oldest and most respected names in British Caravanning, still manufactured 80 years on, nowadays as part of the Sterling Caravan range, in turn a member of the Swift Leisure Group.

The club is an independent club run by its members for its members and the Eccles Caravan Owners Club is one of the longest surviving single brand owners clubs, with its roots going back to the 1930's, the early days of Caravanning. The present club was reformed in the sixties.

We are purely a social organisation and meet generally once a month at rally sites at different locations, generally in the Midlands/South West area, although we often rally elsewhere. In recent years we have had continental rallies to Bavaria, Lake Garda, and Brittany. For 2008 we have holiday rallies planned in Rhineland/Luxembourg and Scotland. Take a look at our 2008 Rally programme for further information.

Do think about joining us, you'll find we have a full programme of events and rallies suitable for weekend breaks and as part of your holiday. If you're new to caravanning, joining a club is an excellent way of picking up tips from "older hands". We have members as far apart as Middlesex, Devon, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Lincolnshire, South Wales and all points inbetween. Rallies are very informal, friendly affairs, a meeting of like-minded caravanners, many of whom have formed close friendships and new members are always made to feel welcome. Some rallies are held on regular campsites with all the normal facilities, some are held in basic rally fields, but they all have one thing in common - - a friendly welcome and the freedom to do your own thing.
